Please join YPFP and The New School’s Milano School of International Affairs as we host Usha Pitts, the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomat in Residence for the New York area to learn about the hiring process to become a Foreign Service Officer, Foreign Service Specialist, Diplomatic Security Agent, Consular Fellow, or civil servant. America’s diplomats are selected every year from the approximately 15,000 people who take The Foreign Service Officer Test (FSOT). The Test is offered three times a year and is open to American citizens between the ages of 20 and 59 from all educational and professional backgrounds. It is free.
