Lisa Servon recently spoke on Radio Times about a new plan being proposed by the Post Office which seeks to provide poor households with an affordable way for them to pay bills, cash checks and access small loans.  Lisa J. Servon is Professor and former dean at the Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy at The New School. She teaches and conducts research in the areas of urban poverty and economic development.  She has written extensively on the financial and economic hardships that low-income families face based on her research working as a teller at RiteCheck.
