About
The goal of this project was to increase awareness in Spanish society of the development problems and inequalities that Fundeso aims to combat through its development and awareness projects and programs in various countries. The student attempted to accomplish this objective through the creation of various communications media to disseminate information to the public regarding these issues.
The student worked directly with the Head of Communications and the General Director of Fundeso in their Madrid headquarters in order to accomplish these goals. Her work methodology consisted of: strategic meetings with Fundeso`s education and projects departments, as well as with executive officers, in order to capture the essence of the message they wanted to convey to the public regarding development issues in general and specifically their work in combating these issues; review and analysis of existing communications materials to determine how to improve their effectiveness, legibility and accessibility; creation of the organization´s quarterly newsletter “The Voice of Fundeso,” to further inform the public of development issues and Fundeso’s work; creation of a thematic newspaper called “Open Your Eyes: Other Worlds in Your City,” dealing with immigration and issues of foreign cultures in Spain; translation of the organization`s annual report, website content and various articles published by the organization in order to expand their audience internationally (to include the English-speaking community).
