Lauren interned for UN Global Compact while studying at SGPIA, and this work informed her thesis on the relationship between businesses and human rights.

Career Path: Lauren joined the UN Global Compact’s Social Sustainability team in 2009 and currently manages the Women’s Empowerment Principles, a joint initiative with UN Women focused on corporate action to empower women. Prior to managing the Global Compact’s gender work, Lauren oversaw the Global Compact’s Human Rights Working Group and “Embedding Human Rights in Business Practice,” a business and human rights case study series.
