The Public and Urban Policy program sponsored a field trip to the Tenement Museum before the museum’s physical space closed to help stop the spread of coronavirus. The people who once lived in the buildings that house the museum also experienced the physical, social, economic, and cultural effects of infectious disease.
After exploring the museum, the group stopped at Veselka, the Ukrainian restaurant in the renovated Essex Market, for pierogies and latkes. We look forward to the time when we can again take a group excursion
