Many throughout the university – and especially the Milano School – are closely following the campaign. But since neither New York, New Jersey, nor Connecticut will be hotly contested states this year, it’s difficult to participate in tangible ways outside of financial contributions.
But that’s where Milano comes in. We’re teaming up with the Obama and Romney campaigns to help coordinate Get-Out-The-Vote efforts in the nearest swing state, Pennsylvania – where recent polls show a razor-thin margin between the candidates.
Milano will cover the costs of a bus trip to Philadelphia, which will involve training in political organizing, canvassing of various Philadelphia neighborhoods, and a close-up look at the trench warfare of presidential campaigns.
The trip will take place on Saturday, November 3 – the bus will leave from 72 5th Avenue at 8:45 a.m.
