Consortium for Haitian Empowerment

About
Founded in 2001, the Consortium for Haitian Empowerment (CHE) was launched by the Birdge Project when four Haitian organizations joined the National Coalition to assess and address the impact of September 11th on the New York City Haitian community.

CHE’s mission is to improve the quality of life and opportunities for Haitian- Americans in the New York regions through advocacy and social justice, economic development, civic engagement, capacity and coalition building.

  • How will the funding mix and limitations impact future programs?

  • Emerging themes and program opportunities
  • Funding
